Spoke with Patrick on the phone today; first time since Ken and I left Arizona a week and a half ago. Although Patrick expressed his gratitude for my efforts on the film, the conversation was mostly personal. We did speak briefly about his progress digitizing the footage. Final Cut Pro was batch capturing the third takes from day one during our conversation. He expressed concern over the size of the HDD he has purchased for the project. By my calculations, he should be able to store a bit more than 41 hours on the external drive he bought. He should be fine.
I’ve emailed Vicky and Brian each a couple of times since I’ve been home. Those too were mostly personal. I did ask them both to keep me involved in post production. If left up to Patrick, I’ll only get half of the story. I’m not blaming him, he’s a busy guy. I really hate that I’m so far away.
