Patrick called today, said he was just thinking of us (in Lake Charles) and wanted to talk. He grumbled about having to log and capture all the footage; how painstaking a task it is and how he’s ready to move onto the next part of the process. I almost felt bad for him, but he didn’t sound as fed up as his words might indicate. I’m just happy there’s progress.
He’s been approved for a grant by the university to cover his travel expenses to the SANFIC3 festival in Santiago, Chile where MERCY is in competition. I told him he should call Josh Marcantel because I believe he and Gina are both going to the festival as well. They are rumored to be staying with the event sponsor. He couldn’t believe it.
That’s all the information I have for now. I know, it’s short, right? I’m hopeful that more will be coming down the pipe soon.
